STEC Autopilot Servos

xxxxxThe STEC Autopilot required that the roll servo be installed before the wing was closed. The roll servo is accessed through a plate under the right wing (left construction photo). The pitch servo is already installed on the fuselage floor behind the baggage compartment bulkhead (right photo).

xxxxxThe buyer can finish the STEC Autopilot by purchasing the System 50 instrument panel Control Unit and Altitude Pressure Transducer (for altitude and heading hold) or the System 60 which includes vertical speed control, localizer and glide slope for ILS approaches. For the VFR pilot wanting to fly now and complete the autopilot later, that is a viable option.
