xxxxxThe STEC
System 50 (2-axis) autopilot required that the roll servo be installed
before the wing was closed. It is already installed and is accessed through
a plate under the right wing (left construction photo). The pitch servo is
already installed on the fuselage floor behind the baggage compartment bulkhead
(right photo). The cost of both servos and their respective mounting kits
is approximately $3,000. Yet to be purchased from Glasair or STEC are the
STEC System 50 instrument panel control unit and altitude pressure transducer.
The estimated cost to complete this system should be about $3,500.
